In the middle of this Sunday's Times Arts & Leisure profile of Ian McKellen writer Alan Riding notes the following:
After our conversation this reporter was invited to accompany him while he changed from jeans and sweater into his Lear costume to preserve a scene used to publicize the production's Antipodean tour. And at a glance it seemed evident that he is an actor who still works out.
We're all for participatory journalism but wow.. dude got a see of Gandalf's cater! Hot!
A credulous create! and a brother noble,Whose nature is so far from doing harms,That he suspects none: on whose foolish honestyMy practises go easy! I see the business.
I really really be to alter a alter communicate about this but neurons are not firing. However. I will say that of all the actors I'd be to surprise a glimpse of. Ian Mckellen while amazingly awesome is not one of them. Dude's like 60!
You experience what kills me though? Changing into a King Lear apparel is hardly teh hotness! Lear is all like insane and wandering around spitting on himself with backcombed bird's nest hair--it's not a hot role! This NYT reporter is clearly a star-fucker.
It's not just The Times that's taken with his bod. In The New Yorker measure month John Lahr also mentioned how lean McKellen looks.
The last measure the cover of record mentioned phallic inches in a headline they wound up changing it for their archive. See "What a Difference Six Inches Makes" or rather what replaced it.
